Monday = Arrive at the Studio

In your hotel room will be a "WELCOME" pack. This pack will give you a map of Marbella. Contact telephone numbers, discounts for selected restaurants and services.

The map includes a detailed walk to our studio (around 15 minutes). You walk along the Paseo Maritimo = along the beach front. It is a fantastic walk and a great way to start the day!

If you are not good at "direction" or finding your way we will send someone to meet you at the hotel at 9.45am.

Just tell us what you want to do and we are here to give you excellent service.

Your 1st Day of your painting holiday

Arrive in the studio at 10.0am. Choose your space, your own easel, painting table and high stool. We have space for 12 artists.

On your painting table will be a selection of brushes,(the best are DaVinci) paints, (all professional quality) drawing pad, pencil and charcoal. The drawing pad, pencil and charcoal is yours to take away.

Canvases and watercolour paper are all available in a selection of sizes.

You can paint in oils, watercolour or acrylics.

Under your desk is a "field easel". This is for when we go on location.

All your paintings and drawings are yours to take away. We parcel up your canvases and airlines will put them in the hold for the price of another baggage.

TONAL DRAWINGS

Our first day is a gentle ease into Marbella and painting and drawing and we take you on location to make a tonal drawing. Learning tones (light and shade) is essential for a great painting!!

We then show you how to create "fine art" paintings with the composition rules of the "Golden Section"

Lunch: We give you discount details for selected restaurants. We are 150 yards to the sea and a tiny walk away from Goyo - a very famous restaurant, delicatessen and cake shop that serves a fantastic chicken sandwich with posh chips for about 5 euros. (Their Cava is the best in Spain!!)

2.0pm Back in the Studio where we start painting the drawing we made this morning.

4.0pm Day ends. Time for a dip in the sea, walk along the Paseo, drink in a beach side restaurant or a snooze before dinner.

2nd - 5th day of your painting holiday

We work with YOU!

Yoiu can paint in oils, watercolour or acrylics.

We take you on location to learn "interpretive" painting. Sescapes, landscapes, perspective, focal points and all the painting techniques for each medium.

Some students want to concentrate on "abstracts"
