VERY
IMPORTANT FRAUD WARNING -
There is a company calling itself i-clique who are telephoning
artists stating they are phoning on our behalf and then asking
for £240 for them to act as your art agent.
We have had many phone calls about this company and three
artists who telephoned us - told us they contacted the companies
that i-clique stated they work for/place art works and these
companies stated they have no knowledge of i-clique.
Please
note i-clique have nothing to do with us and we warn artists
that this may be a FRAUD
This
company start off by 'flattering you' and your work and telling
you how they can make you 'a lot of money' They state they
are telephoning on our behalf and that when you give them
£240 by credit card - they will then arrange 'a viewing'.
They are very smooth talkers. DO
NOT BE TAKEN IN. This company is registered by
a foreign gentleman - with a London address. It would appear
their web site has already been removed but was present at
the beginning of week 7th Feb 2005. If you have paid this
company any money - advise the credit card company or bank
- you are cancelling.
This
company are offering all your work on DVD - which they state
'is presented to their clients'. The clients listed have no
knowledge of this company. Do not send your art works to this
company - they could turn your art works into prints. WE
CERTAINLY DO NOT HAVE ANY AFFILIATION OR KNOWLEDGE OF THIS
COMPANY. Editor
UNSOLICITED/SPAM
EMAILS
Spam
emails are supposed to be outlawed in this country.
A
spam email is when you send many emails to many people.
ISPs
or your web site hosts have strict rules about using their
services for spam. They say they will take away their services
if you, as a customer, abuse their services.
However
info@nickywillcock.co.uk sent 15 spam emails every other minute
into each of our inboxes. She also sent many spam emails into
two other inboxes of our company.
We
sent an email to info@nickywillcock.co.uk advising her to
stop sending spam emails but it couldn't be delivered because
the inbox was full - doubtless hundreds of other complaintants
about her spam emails.
Business
Serve is the host for info@nickywillcock.co.uk - we wrote
to them each time a huge bulk of emails arrived.
We
received these [BSVE #51074] [BSVE #51070] [BSVE #51071] [BSVE
#51069] [BSVE #51068] [BSVE #51067] [BSVE #51056] [BSVE #51059]
ticket numbers. A ticket number was allocated to every complaint
email sent to Business Serve. Proving we sent 9 complaints
and every time a huge bulk of emails arrived within minutes
of each other - on the same day.
We
had no action from Business Serve - despite them stating services
will be removed from customers who abuse their services.
What
is the point of having laws if the ISPs don't obey them or
their own Terms and Conditions?
