Arrive 9.45-10.0am Meet your fellow artists. Introduction to estudio 61 and your Professional Artist.

10.00am Paints, brushes and equipment. KNOW YOUR EQUIPMENT. A complete overview, explanation and comparison of products. Every artist has their own space with professional easel, painting table and hi stool. ALL YOUR PROFESSIONAL MATERIALS ARE INCLUDED.

11.0am Understanding Abstracts. What sort of 'abstract are you going to create? Expressive, Interpretive, geometric, etc How do you form an abstract? Understanding line, colour, composition and concept.

INSPIRATION: How do you get inspiration?

CONCEPT: What is a concept and why is it important?

UNDERSTANDING LINE AND THE SPACES INBETWEEN

UNDERSTANDING COLOUR

1.0-1.30PM Lunch break. Bring sandwiches (we will supply wine free of charge) or pop out to one of the inumerable cafes/restaurants.

1.30pm You start to plan and paint your own abstract.

3.30pm Day Ends - you leave with paper and charcoal + notes to work on the abstract you are going to create tomorrow. (should you want to!).

COURSE PROGRAMME - SUNDAY

10.00am Creating Your Abstract. We do not put paint to canvas until we have established your concept and have the drawings/ideas (you created) to work from.

1.0-1.30PM Lunch break

1.30pm CARRY ON PAINTING YOUR ABSTRACT in acrylics, oils or mixed media.

3.00 ASSESSMENT AND CHAT.

3.30pm. Collection of your paintings and course notes, Day Ends

EXTENDED WEEKEND - MONDAY - extra days are 70 euros per day

10.0am Arrive, Carry on painting your picture from yesterday or start another. We supply you with another canvas - so if you don't use it - take it home! Another day is actually just what the doctor ordered! You are feeling totally at home in your space and the Studio feels as if you have been here for weeks!

1.0-1.30PM Lunch break

3.30pm Day ends.

This weekend course is an ABSTRACT PAINTING weekend with additional drawings/ideas created after the course on the first day. Most students come back for more specific teaching but this is a great course to start with AND an exclusive opportunity to use top quality professional materials with tuition from an exceptionally talented and capable professional artist. WHO DOES NOT IMPOSE HER WILL ON YOU!! BUT ENCOURAGES THE ARTIST IN YOU!
